You Are Already Whole
What is wholeness?
Cambridge Dictionary Definition: the quality of being or feeling complete and not divided or damaged
Merriam Webster Dictionary Definition: the quality or state of being whole; an unreduced or unbroken completeness or totality; a hale vigor or soundness; integrity
It’s taken me 50 years to finally get to the point in my journey where the fear to be outwardly all of me is less than the desire to freely express my whole and unique self to the world and in my daily life. Perimenopause has had a wonderful part to play in that as well – hee, hee! By taking small steps daily and showing myself compassion, it is getting easier to bounce back from the moments of regression.
This blog is called The Evolution of a Goddess to remind myself and others that we are all divine since we are part of Divine Intelligence. Our individual evolutions will lead to humanity’s ascension to closer representation of our soul selves. The premise of this blog and what I want communicated more often in this world is our souls are here on earth to express themselves through the human self. Our souls are already whole so we, in fact, are whole. We have just forgotten who we are, in these physical bodies, due to the conditioning taught to us by societal systems and so-called norms that our families/ancestors also bought into.
Our true job in this life is to remember and uncover who our souls really are; live from this soul-centered place; and be present for what we came here to experience, learn, grow and teach in this life so we can thrive. Our Be-coming is not to turn into someone new, but to shed all of the layers that don’t belong to us and Be who we truly are, like a phoenix reborn.
This requires us to be more introspective, conscious, reflective and present. We need to trust our own inner guidance and wisdom more. Once we realize that a lot of the yearning we feel for what is missing is actually us yearning to be our unique authentic selves, a new and exciting journey opens up for us. The journey may be difficult at times because it will run counter to “the right way to do things.” However, the life we each have is our own. No one outside of us can tell us what our journey should look like and what others think of our journey is none of our business.

What is “wholeness”?
There are many tools that can help us on our journey: spiritual practices or soul rituals, creativity, music/sound, healthy body rituals, healthy relationships which lead to support systems and the list goes on. We’ll explore a variety of these tools here in the blog. We will also explore indigenous traditions from around the world. As members of the BIPOC community, my family and I have learned the importance of rediscovering ancestor traditions and the hardship of finding a centralised place that can be a reference for finding more information about those traditions and the history associated with them. Unfortunately, colonialism and imperialism contributed to the near erasure of some of these traditions or caused them to ostracised. Lastly, I will share a bit of myself through my soul musings occasionally.
So, kindred spirits, let’s move forward on our journeys to rediscovering our selves/souls. Let’s cheer each other on and build a community and support system that will help humanity ascend into a higher state of consciousness. All of our small steps will create big steps for humankind.
